Pierre Dumas 285 Posted November 14, 2014 Well chosen spectacle, in the right time of the day, wonderful colors and overall technical quality! No wonder when Alf Bailey is behind such a fancy equipment! Best regards PDE Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted November 15, 2014 Sincere Thanks for your thoughtful appraisal; and positive feedback! Originally there were sheep on that bit of land to the right, but they beat a hasty retreat before I could get a shot : - ) However I did take a few shots without any land on the right. The mountainous regions of Scotland have a most interesting effect on the weather patterns, you can experience 4 seasons in one day, and whilst this particular Loch was calm, the one I went to photograph earlier in the morning had a wind ripple that just refused to cease the whole time I was there. I value your feedback immensely Dimitris! Have a great weekend my friend! Alf PIERRE The time of day and the prevailing light is nearly always key to the success or failure of a given image, the equipment is secondary but quality counts too. Of course the best typewriter in the world or should I say "word processor" won't write a novel all by itself either : - ) Yes, I know I am preaching to the converted! Many Thanks & Best Regards to you Pierre! Alf Link to comment

michaellinder 16,612 Posted November 18, 2014 A time to cast away stones,A time to gather stones together. It's amazing how nature brings lines from the Bible to life. It's equally amazing how your work connects the human spirit with nature. I see a distinct dynamic character to this photograph. It's as if you captured everything in its own special kind of motion. My best always, michael Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted December 4, 2014 Days like this, where perseverance and determination take over, and in the end you are rewarded with a sight such as this....well, I don't know that it gets much better than this!! There is so much beauty to be seen, and it is so wonderful that you plan your vacation in a destination that may reveal such vistas. I love how the textures and colours of the rocks in the foreground tie in with the colours of the mountains and reflections. It is so satisfying to visit your images. Many thanks for being here on PN where I can enjoy such a treat! Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted December 5, 2014 My Sincere Thanks for your thoughts and kind words, I am so pleased that you enjoy seeing the same scenes that must have been witnessed by your forefathers. It was a glorious morning, and this time my plans come together nicely, of course you don't get to see the occasions when they don't : - ) Kind Regards Alf Link to comment
