Empty chairs at a restaurant in Cape May in August is unusual,

especially considering the very good cuisine they serve. Thanks for

looking, all comments are welcome.

The chairs may be empty but it looks like a figure in red is about to take a seat ;-).  An excellent capture... Mike

Holger,

This is a very creative composition and well visualized by you, the photographer.  It is almost in mind a bit of an abstract.  BTW, I agree with MLM's keen observation.  Best Regards, bb

Maybe you should consider cropping the side with vertical shadow, maybe not! However, very well done and I think it looks amazing!

Best regards

Interesting composition Holger. I like the sharpness/boldness to it. Nice interpretation by Mike!!  AJ

The mosaic shapes add a great air of mystery to this photo. It's the type of image where imagination fills in the gaps and one's personal interpretation weaves the story!

Great vision and innovation!

Best Regards

Thank you for taking the time to look and leave a comment.

Alf it was that mosaic pattern that caught my eye a little earlier that same day. After we finished eating on the way out I shot this with an Iphone. The late evening sun did the rest.

See you all soon.

The warm tones suggest early\late sunlight and the mosaic certainly offers a level of mystery in trying to figure out what it depicts.  I would leave the left shadow in as it acts as a stop to the wandering eye & sends the viewer back to the main elements, the chair shadows and the partially exposed mosaic.  Worth the effort.  Best, LM.

My eye was drawn to this image right away. Good eye Holger in seeing this 'composition' I have to learn to really 'look' more when it comes to this type of photography. I really like how Alf describes this one. There is a story here...and I think we all can fill in our own narrative!

Thanks so much Gail, it's always nice to hear from you. It certainly is the type of image that let's the imagination take over, as a number of people have stated. See you soon.
