Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 28, 2014 Wonderful. The houses seem almost animate beings having a conversation in building fashion . The picture has real impact, at least to me. Everyday objects transcend their ordinary personas, form different relationships and create a new synthesis. It's a picture almost wholly dependent on the imagination and compositional skills of the photographer; meaning is suggested where none existed before and that's a real feat of photographic alchemy. aanji 1 Posted November 1, 2014 I love your composition and eye - however I would have chopped down that tree . . . or at least cropped it out. I see the image as stronger with all human creations and so Mother Nature would have to go. Link to comment
wolfgangarnold 142 Posted November 2, 2014 many thanks for your comment & suggestion. You're touching a point that I was considering while editing the photo. I found the empty space above the house a bit problematic and my idea was to leave the tree in to balance the dark facade. Here's a very quick and dirty edit - pushing your idea a bit further and arriving at a more abstract version - yet, moving away from the "true" photo... mark_q 0 Posted March 29, 2015 Another tasty work right in my alley. I prefer your original. It had been a pleasure being in your shoes out there and get thrilled, but here I cherish this photo. Well seen and done. Link to comment
