I think all the effort has been worth Alf! Very pleasant picture, lovely colors, nice light and perfect composition. And of course, the dawn mist adds a special touch.

Kind Regards,

Rosario.

Thank you so much for your interest and thoughtful feedback!

The magic hour at dawn seldom fails to produce decent light, it's just a matter of being in the right place to take advantage of it.

Best Regards

Not much more to add except to say that it is superb. I suspect that you have visited this location before (as I do with my local locations) and I am sure the conditions were different. The orange colored grass injects some visual contrast.

Many Thanks for your interest and thoughtful feedback!

I have visited this Loch 3 years ago, but at 370 miles away from home and perhaps 7 - 8 hours drive it's too far to get to very often. This part of the loch was new to me, and the discovery of the lone tree was a real bonus.  Wish I could get up here more often!

Larry's jokes don't get any better : - )

Best Regards

It was indeed a "magical" dawn,  in fact that is the very word I used to describe it myself.  I posted this on "Twitter" (something I don't do very often) and it was "retweeted" hundreds of times, needless to say I am very pleased at the reactions it brought, but I am particularly pleased when photographers such as yourself and others from PN that I also hold in high esteem, have provided such great feedback.

Sincere Thanks Christal!
