Tell the McArthurs that they are lucky to have such a house and such a photographer to depict it. A dark threatening sky that loses the battle of emotions over a warm cosy reassuring landscape of the earth.

Wonderful fall image and a great house as a subject. And the wide angle sky is beautiful. Lovely work Tony.

All my best,  Bill

Michail  - you are too kind!  Thanks.

Bill, I liked the sky also.

Larry - thanks. I try not to show my failures like the one above.   I was attracted to the semi-circle of apples but a couple of apples have been 'cut', it is too dull  plus other stuff.

Is so good looking the house and surrounding:road, trees, autumn scene.Moment with cloudy sky fit excellent for this composition. It looks like a place to live in harmony and peace.

Love the autumnal colours against that wonderful sky! and the farm house nestled amongst the trees. I might be tempted to crop out the car on the far right, but then I am very "anti - car" when it comes natures beauty.

Sincere Compliments!

Patsy, Radu and Alf, I always appreciate your visits with supportive and constructive comments.

Alf - when I look at old images, the way people dress and the mode of transportation, it helps to give me a sense of the age of the image. As long as we have digital info we can look at EXIF date we should be able to date the image. If we don't, 50 to 75 years from now, some of my photos might be found in a shoe box in an attic and just maybe the car will help to date the image. Of course I will be long gone unless I am preserved in outer space and the technology people  choose to bring me back.

Rightly or wrongly, this was the way I was thinking when I included the car. Of course a 'pure' landscape should remain unchanged for decades but even that I am finding to be untrue in my limited lifetime - e.g. volcanic islands  (Montserrat) , coastal areas, etc.
