alfbailey 3 Posted September 29, 2014 It was a delightful evening, couldn't have asked for better! Thank you so much for your interest and kind words! Best Regards Alf PANAYOTIS Taken during the "magic hours" and it seemed to live up to it's name. The tiny church of St Cwyfrans has been in existence since before 1254 and people still use it today as a place of worship and for weddings too! Best Regards Alf JORG I agree It does have that dream like quality. Many Thanks Alf TRISHA It was a beautiful evening, soft pastel colours on the horizon and a full moon behind us to add to the light, one of those occasions when you don't want it to end. Sincere Thanks & Best Regards Alf Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted September 30, 2014 Such a beautiful location. And of course, you waited for just the right moment to achieve this capture. It is so serene and lovely. 'Dessert' for my eyes (I think you will understand what I mean). The colours of the sky and water sooth the soul. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted September 30, 2014 The location is quite remote and takes a bit of finding. I used to stay in a little cottage nearby for holidays when the children were young and I fell in love with the place. I have been back quite a few times to photograph the church, but never found the right conditions until now. I'm so pleased you enjoyed viewing this one. GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted October 14, 2014 Thanks for telling me about this spot. I think it would be lovely there. Wonderful memories you have, that makes trips back rather special I'd think. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted October 14, 2014 Yes indeed! It is a special place for all kinds of reasons, and like a lot of these ancient remote corners of North Wales, the place itself seems to have certain kind of magic that I find it difficult to describe. Cheers Gail! Alf Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted October 19, 2014 I would be proud to have this photograph hanging on my wall, in a special location so that I could use it as a remedy for my occasional difficulties in navigating this world. It presents calm, peace, quietude in such an extraordinarily beautiful, sensitive way. Truly, you have a gift. My best always, michael Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted October 20, 2014 Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback. It is a very special place, secluded and not easy to get to, and so far unspoiled by anything resembling commercial enterprise. Long may it continue to survive! Always good to hear from you Michael!
