LenMarriott 9 Posted September 9, 2014 I agree with Jake's first sentence. However, placement of the bird in the frame is very subjective I think. It has, in fact, much space on the left to 'look into' and his crop suggestion would eliminate the berries in that area which help provide context. The diagonal branches of the bush work well together to lead the eye right to your subject. Were it my shot, the only thing I would do differently is to enhance the life indicating catch light in the eye in Photoshop. A light hand would be necessary so as not to have it look artificial. I believe all manipulations should be transparent to the viewer. Very nicely presented post. Best, LM. Link to comment
