stemked 4 Posted September 18, 2003 I tried to look at the other image but it was a dead end. I will say that this is a fantastic image. Very well composed and absolutely excellent timing. Nice job! Link to comment

photocontrast 0 Posted September 18, 2003 Interesting shot! A bit dark on my monitor. Link to comment
ciofalo 0 Posted September 18, 2003 I prefer this. Great shot, congratulations. Excellent composition, too, with this diagonal "jet"... The only thing I don't care too much for is the frame; I appreciate the concept but think that a neutral frame or one with a complementary color would enhance the impact (there is already a lot of blue in the picture itself). I think the frame is also the reason why the photo gives an impression of darkness which actually is not there. Link to comment
navarra 0 Posted September 18, 2003 I prefer this one too. Good composition, and a funny image. I prefer smaller frames as well, but this one is fine with the picture. Simone Link to comment
scott_fisher 0 Posted September 19, 2003 I like this one better than the other shot -- though the expression on the boy's face in the other one great. Also, I like the frame - it works for me... Link to comment
lou korell 0 Posted September 21, 2003 So many articles about Velvia caution against using it for portraits. With images like this, I wonder why? This is so nice. Lou Link to comment
