This is a long exposure of 10 minutes. It was taken in the twilight hours in

interior Alaska. Twilight lasts the entire "night" up here this time of year.

No filters were used. Comments/critiques welcome.

Impressive image Sean.  How did you get such a  clear sun star with a 10 minute exposure?  You must have enjoyed a nearly windless night, given the detail in the foreground plants.

Tranquil mood ... nice blues and composition ... thanks for sharing. I am a bit unsure of the branches in the lower right hand foreground ... but this is a personal choice

Thank you for the comments.  Here is the secret - the light you see in the center of the photo is NOT the sun.  It a very bright light atop the control tower on Eielson Air Force Base.  This is not even a sunset shot.  It was taken well after sunset, during the interior Alaskan summer twilight hours.  We get some great colors on the horizon throughout the entire night this time of year.
