BelaMolnar 2 Posted August 28, 2014 I liken the subject and the composition as well the processing of this B&W image. How ever, I would clone out the very unsharp part of the foreground stones of off the image. To minimize the blurry foreground, I take screenshot and manipulated your image. See revision-2. IMHO.Cheers. Link to comment

andresfaya 0 Posted August 28, 2014 I like the overall composition. The blurry foreground doesn't annoy me so much and gives a feeling of depth. I suppose its a matter of taste.I like how the horizon is just above the pile of stones on the right, so well seen and captured here. The overall framing and the BYW work very well for me.Some info about the film and the development would be interesting to see how you managed to get such a fine grain and clear sharpness. Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 28, 2014 I'm of two minds about the blur in the foreground. On one hand it provides an intriguing sense of depth but it also seems a bit too noticeable. Maybe just a little bit wider DOF would have lessened the effect while preserving the sense of space. The sharp detail of the piled rocks works very well especially in relationship to the softness of the ocean's horizon line and the featureless sky.. Link to comment
benjamin_kim 0 Posted August 29, 2014 A lovely composition. I do find the bottom 10% of the frame that's blurred out a little distracting. Perhaps moving a little closer might make this even better. Link to comment
ned1 0 Posted August 29, 2014 Bela, i like your crop. Andres. This is medium format film (Ilford, Pentax 645 camera). I find digital very convenient. I have an excellent medium format digital and get pretty good results. But film will still give you better results, even when you reduce the size like this. Damned thing is they keep raising the cost of film, but this is the golden age to buy a film camera. Link to comment
