Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 26, 2014 Even in the midst of crisis, I guess life goes on. I like the play of light and bright colors. Link to comment

funfoto 0 Posted August 27, 2014 Street photo is about telling a story. I don't see any interaction of the people in this picture. They are all engaging in the most common and boring activity, i.e. playing with the smartphone. The uneven lighting is very uncomfortable to look at. The scene is random.Sorry, it doesn't work for me. Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 31, 2014 In regard to some of the comments above: the street is a messy place, people moving in and out of our frame, never posing the way we'd like them to or playing quite the role we envision for them. But that's the reality and the stories aren't ours but theirs. We are the interested recorders. Only in a body of work does the story of the photographer, herself, become apparent. Link to comment
olafdevries 0 Posted September 1, 2014 Street photograpers have to balance 'mess' or have to make choises out of it, that's the great challenge of 'street'. Would you accept the next of a cook..?! "Only in a body of work does the story of the cook himself become apparent." An image has to be tasted on itself, at that moment being a choise made on the market. In the body of work we may recognise the style and preferences of the cook. By the way, I'm not preaching to cook Svetlana. :) Link to comment
svetlana_korolyova 27 Posted September 3, 2014 Thank you very much again for your comments and your attention to this shot! It's just a moment in the life of the city, which I saw, and which I wanted to stop. I like the chaotic play of light through the leaves of the trees, I like the feeling of calm and peace in the poses of these people. That's all. Link to comment
