PeterKrenek 26 Posted August 21, 2014 Taken on a calm overcast day near the mountain lake Vrbicke pleso in the Low Tatras National Park, Slovakia. Your opinions and suggestions for improvement are appreciated. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted August 22, 2014 This is a very nice with shadowed areas that add some drama. Strictly as an academic exercise, I used the shadow/Highlight command in photoshop and a slightly warmer color balance to make a change and it is important to know that i am not recommending a change. BelaMolnar 2 Posted August 22, 2014 Very nice landscape, perfect composition, to highlight a little the foreground grass, and overall, is a good idea of Tony. Very nice lake, to bad it is not close-by for me. Where it is?Cheers. Link to comment

Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted August 24, 2014 Peter, Nice image/ I like the detailed, yet soft look of the image. Yes, one could always alter details of an image in post processing. What matters is that the image represents what you the photographer wants to convey. I am fine with the image as is here. Larry Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted August 26, 2014 J, Larry, thank you for your comments ! Larry, this was a cloudy day with some breaks in the cloud cover and at times the scene would resemble more the version of Tony (that I like as an alternative). The original version is closer to the all-cloudy periods that I experienced there. The soft look is intended - it is due to the long exposure enabled by the strong neutral density filter that I used. Best wishes. Peter Link to comment
