JohnWebster 3 Posted August 20, 2014 Before judging the portrait content of an image I look for the overall impact and meaning in my mind. Jake MacButters wanted to blur the background to reduce the clutter but this is not a high school senior portrait where background elements need to be tamed. This looks like an abandoned meat factory and, for me, this is a campy, humorous image. This lady is loud and proud about her legs and is kicking them for the viewer. The meat factory metaphor makes all the clutter work in supporting the the model. Nice lighting, composition and use of space. Link to comment
