Wow!

Very nice composition for an Air Show shot of a single aircraft!

That Sigma is being put to some good use! But if it compares to my Canon 100-400 in weight and length then your arms are certainly getting a workout!

I can't do it much anymore handheld and rely on a tripod!

Looks as though this is quite a show with constant action by all the performers!

I am impressed with how well that Sigma performs also. I've been "itching" to get something longer than my 400mm for sometime!

Cheers and, off to look at a couple of others from your series!

Hi Jim

We had 4 hours of displays on friday and 8 and a quarter hours on Saturday.Over 500 planes took part ,static and flying,It's the biggest Airshow in the World.

The big Sigma weights 2 kilos, with the D7000 over 3 kilos.I have a gimbal head but it's difficult to follow the planes so i shoot hand held,I also shoot jpeg only at airshows for speed. The Sigma 150-500 is the best overall lens for airshows because of it's weight and reach.Tamron just produced the 150-600 similar weight and even more reach,Bob Atkins wrote a review on it about a month ago here on PN.

Best regards

Harry

I know the feeling of ending up doing the hand held stuff over the Gimbal at Air Shows.

That was indeed quite a show! I'm envious!

Trust me, I've already read Bob's review on the Tamron! But, your Sigma did very well in your images.

Cheers again,

Jim j.
