This shot was inspired by a piece I saw in a gallery in Manchester - actually

a couple walking on a French beach but it was the huge sky in portrait

format that grabbed hold of me. Couldn't afford the £8k they wanted for the

painting, magnificent though it was, so made my own version which came

in at well under £50 including printing and framing and getting a very handy

man to come and install it! Any thoughts?

Most of the photographers cursing the contrails in the sky, saying they ruin they landscape compositions. You where brave, and made a composition with successes. This remind me of a Russian landscape painter, whom painted a canvass, yellow whet field, couple of people, 1, 2 or 3?, and the big sky, more then 2/3, full of contrails, and the painting was very good.  The bottom of your image a little bet strong of the HDR or tone mapping effect, but overall, it is a nice image.

Hi Graham, different is my first thoughts. However, it could grow on me, therefore I'll give it 5 (Good).
