Larger view available. This Uros woman and other Uros live a

traditional Aymara life on artificial islands made of reeds known as

Totora. The Aymara are an indigenous culture in southern Peru and

in Bolivia. For transportation the women row large reed boats.

Your views and comments on this image are appreciated. Thanks.

Enjoyed the narrative.  The sunlight on her back is beautiful.  i wish I could see the rest of thr boat.  It sounds so interesting.  Did u travel to these faraway places?

I liked the diagonal lines of the ropes and arms; colorful clothing; head at just the right angle:  strong composition in this photo.

Lynne,  Thanks again for your visits. I will try to add one or two more Uros images.  The rest are not as good as this one, but sometimes I an image can be for recording the scene rather than a shot at art.  Larry

An excellent image, the detail is splendid. I can see the minute details of her jacket fabric!!! An excellent capture with good colour, great POV and presentation. I enjoyed your narrative very much. It sounds like you just had a very enjoyable vacation!!!

kind regards, Gail

Hi Gail, Thanks for visiting this image, but more impotently, thanks for your contact. I haven't connected with you for a while and wonder how you and your family are doing. We had an excellent time in Peru. The Inca culture and history is the main attraction. I will be posting more images. I'm trying to finish up the image processing, and will then publish a book on Blurb. You may want to check out Blurb. It's blurb.com and also has a platform built into Photoshop Lightroom. I have done two books so far and am most impressed. Best to you. Larry
