Not Here 93 Posted June 19, 2014 I like how timeless this image is. The tied up top, short shorts and b/w treatment could have been from a WWII pinup session. Well done... Mike Link to comment
jlg 0 Posted June 19, 2014 If this was a personal shot, I would say very fine memory. If it was a model, I would say I find her placement on the left a bit odd and would prefer a bit more space, maybe center placement. Link to comment
bronx 0 Posted June 19, 2014 Mike, I feel the same as you. When I went to finish this in post it screamed B&W. Thanks for your thoughts Mike. Jose, the composition I like, I don't like to center. To me there has to be something to force the composition to center. And yes Ruthy is a model. A beautiful redhead with amazing eyes. I'll try to finish a photo showing more of her. Thanks for taking the time to critique this photo. Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted June 20, 2014 Fascinating criteria differences you have here, in my opinion the rules are created to be broken, and you are doing it with a remarkable success.BW render and dof are a must, and her position in the frame is perfect, she captures my sight and my attention with unbeatable strength, and suddenly the real world becomes superfluous. Devastating presence, not for weak spirits.BTW, to my fave folder. Link to comment
ruudalbers 1 Posted June 20, 2014 A beautiful black and white result with very nice lighting, David! Link to comment
brother_soulnier 0 Posted June 20, 2014 like your camera angle, pose and lighting. my one pick is how well her shorts blend with the background, that curve does not pop like I would like to see. cheers... Link to comment
bronx 0 Posted June 20, 2014 Sweid, much thanks for your thoughts on this photo, wish I had your writing skills. Rudd, always nice to hear from the master of street. Brother, I agree about the white shorts blending with the water. Printed large it looks better but on the screen I see your point. Thanks for the critique. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 274 Posted June 22, 2014 I like the pose and the model with beautifully shaped body and her expression, very appealing and attractive! Well done, very well done, David! Best regards PDE Link to comment
wink_photo 0 Posted June 26, 2014 David. I am kind of late to the party but wanted to compliment you on this image. I like the tonal range and think BW was the way to go. I like that her clothes blend a bit and feel like it helps focus the viewer on her face and hair, turning it into a portrait more than a pinup. The DOF is also perfect. Cool. Dana... Link to comment
