I don't know how to quite describe my reaction to this picture. Her wide-eyed stare and the way her hair is a bit disheveled is both disturbing and visually compelling. This is certainly not your standard portrait but it's undeniably powerful.

I can't help but agree with Jack, Chuck!! excellent timing and connection with your model.

I was probably a little too close to get the kind of proportions in her face that you normally see when you look at someone. One of the reasons I wanted to photograph this woman is that once in a while, not even half the time, her eyes look remarkably large, as they do here.
