I've shied away from nature photography because (a) its just way

too hard for my limited skillset and (b) I don't really have the glass for

it, though my Nikon 80-400 is proving quite acceptable for my low

standards! However, I spent some time on a recent holiday learning

how to follow these big ugly birds in flight and got some half decent

results (IMHO!) but would appreciate anything you can offer - be kind!

I am impressed with this shot.  I have one shot of a turkey vulture in PN portfolio and it is not nearly as good as yours.  This shows excellent detail, full wing-span, and a bit of eye glint.  It is also tack sharp and that is difficult to get of a bird-in-flight (BIF).  Congratulations on getting a great shot.
