Agreeable pastel hues Tony. Just for a cleaner pic how about cloning out the black debris resting on the FG ice block . Nice work overall .

Carol - thanks for commenting and the suggestion of cloning out the black sticks. To clone out or not is a struggle with me since I usually want to leave the scene 'as is' but you are right that removing those sticks, it would make it 'cleaner'. Something to which I will give some thought.  Thanks again for commenting!

I am sure that if this here image has a so strong visual impact that moment there for you was a delight when see this and take a deep breath and feel the nature in whole its power with jeweleries like this in shape and colors.

Your depth of field makes this unity apparent and beautiful - every element, near and far, a part of the whole.  Well done, Tony.

Nice pastellly rendition of winter's edge.  Been looking for one of your images to comment on as I haven't been on the net for quite a while now. My kids are going to renew my lax subscription for upcoming Father's day.  I plan on replacing my D300 wth the D750 as it seems to retain features of the D300 I like plus adding wifi, expanded mgpixels and a larger flexscreen. Have you looked into it at all. Good to see your images on the net.  Will com,  later,  rek.

Good to hear from you. Only because my shutter actuation on the D300 is pretty high and one day I am going to press that shutter and nothing will happen. I almost picked up the D750 at the end of January. Not sure if you are aware that the D750 is a FX full frame camera (our is DX) and you may have to get new lenses (check with your dealer). I am now looking at the D7200 which is DX.  I am also looking at a different brand but will probably not go that route - at this stage.

All the best and good to see you back at PN after a long absence. I have a perception (could be wrong) that a number of photographers have left PN but maybe, like you, they will return.

Hi Tony,

I have to tell you that I'am not a big fan of portrait format for landscape, excepting some situation when required, but this frame is very well composed, with great details and so lovely color tones, which makes it a very good one !!

Kind regards,

Theodor D.
