william_staniforth 1 Posted April 25, 2014 Very imaginative with an excellent use of props . I can't work out your lighting though , there seems to be high lights all over the place ! Was it a single source , a Speedlight maybe ? Still it makes an excellent image and title . Bill Link to comment
lauramarco 0 Posted April 26, 2014 Dear Bill, I'm glad you like how I've used the different elements in this composition, I thought carefully ... every place to each object, the wheels ...As for the use of light, for the scene I used natural light, it was a sunset, natural light from a sunset in the corner of a beautiful garden ... and for me ... I used light from softboxes.I'm glad you like it. The title is dedicated to the blackbird, their song can not be matched or imitated by any instrument. Thanks for your comment so positive and your visit so appreciated.Kindest regards, Laura Marco Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 421 Posted May 4, 2014 Hi Laura, I had to listen to the blackbird's song on YouTube in order to be able to understand what this picture is all about! I'm curious how the sunset light created total darkness in the background! The whole picture reminds me of a Gypsy camping from some earlier times in Europe, I would gladly accept a camp fire on the left bottom part, but the light on the place of bifurcation on the tree looks like artificial electric light which wouldn't go with my imaginary Gypsy camp! The lovely lady looks like Gypsy according to the European notion of Gypsy look. The small guitar goes with that notion too, the wheels and the whole atmosphere. That's how I experience this beautiful and special picture! Best regards PDE Link to comment
lauramarco 0 Posted May 5, 2014 Dear Pierre, thanks for your visit and your comment to this work.I see people interested in the use of light. I can assure you, it's the light of a sunset. The place is a corner of the garden of my parents' country house, where I have played with those wheels being a child. The woman could be a gypsy, they love dancing and music. I like the way you've experienced the scene. I think you are not wrong, you're in the way... You have to hear the song of the blackbird, it's divine, in the silence of the night or in the day. Easily can find audio on Youtube.Heartfelt thanks for your positive comments and your visit so dear to me. Many greetings and hope you're not as angry as your last picture :) I did like it!Kindest regards, Laura M. Link to comment

Link to comment
Link to comment
