Beautifully done, Dana. I would think your model would be very pleased with this shot. Congratulations.

Dana,

Not a fan of nudes, but I am of light & shadow. As I was scrolling through the critique section, the thumbnail made me want to see more. I'm glad I did. Composition & framing are excellent. Exposure & DOF spot on. One can feel the texture of the atmosphere. Stellar image, thanks for this one.

Very unique location of center.

Not so sure about enhancing the verticality, but in any event there is definitely a "special" atmosphere.

Good job.

It has bee said already but it does deserve to be said again. The use of space here is wonderful. I am sure you know this is good.

Looks a bit like Baroque painting, and if it was in color somebody could be confused.  Since it is in B&W we know it is an awesome picture and not some painting. Splendid title.

There is a lovely feeling of peace in her pose and the lighting. The negative space adds so much to that along with the sense of atmosphere. Well seen and made!

Thanks everyone for taking the time and commenting.

Raymond.  Thanks, especially about "filling" the space.

Amy.  Thanks.  I think she is happy with the result.

Rick.  Thanks for taking a look.  Since you are not a fan of nudes, I am really pleased that you decided to look and comment.  Thanks for the comments on the technical aspects and I am pleased that the texture come through.  I think it has a bit of a resembelance to your Film Noir work.

David N.  Thanks, it means alot.

Dani.  Thanks for the comment.  I am glad you liked the atmosphere.  When you say verticality, I am assuming you mean the negative space above the model?  If so, I can see your point but in this case I thought helped focus attention on the light and model.

David M and Owen.  Thanks.  It means a great deal coming from you all.

Raymond B.  Thanks for commenting.  I also thought the tone worked out pretty well.

Jean.  Thanks.  A 7, wow!.

Andrew.  Yes, that is what I thought and you are right the color version enhances this feeling.  However, I think you are right that the BW version confirms its identity and I think conveys the emotion better.  Thanks for commenting.

Dolf.  I am really happy you stopped by and commented.  Thanks and I really like your portfolio.

Mark.  Thanks.  I am glad you commented on the peaceful feeling.  That is what it conveys for me.  Also, thanks for the feedback on the composition and glad you like the use of negative space.

Thanks again to everyone.  It means a lot to me and it is wonderful to hear from so many PN photographers.
