nicolaiecostel 0 Posted March 30, 2014 Hello, I find that this image shows a moment between two people, shot from a distance. As such, I think this should be a photojurnalistic image, not a set up, editorial one. These are two different aproaches. As a photojurnalistic image, this wide framing might be justifiable, however, I can't really see what they are doing and there are some distracting elements on the beach, like the lower right. This being said, they are framed with a large beach portion, you have the sea, it all kind of makes sense, it has a Henry Cartier Bresson feel to it.As an editorial, they are too far away, it's not about the subject, it's about the surroundings in your picture. I would say that this sepia toning is not my favorite, the water line is not horizontal, and it bothers me a bit, they are pretty much dead-on centered, so as a technical achievement I would not praise this picture. But as a whole moment in time, it makes sense."It your photographs aren't good enough, you're not close enough !" Robert Cappa Link to comment
