I immediately have a difficult time reconciling the sun (apparently; it may also be the moon) behind the trees and behind the clouds (which are wonderfully lit), with stars overhead, and the level of brightness of the foreground grasses. How is it that the foreground is so bright?

Stephen,     Actually, this was taken in the middle of the day. HDR processed with Photomatrix and the sky darkened in Photoshop.

Mark, I hope you can understand my point of view.  You've created a scene that would be very difficult to find in nature.
