BelaMolnar 2 Posted March 8, 2014 To me, it is a little to heavy and contrasty. The image to me, represent a doomsday, rather then a wide open sunny field as usual in this area. IMHO. Yes, I see, the sun is shining on that middle area only. The image is much more contrasty then a "gloomy-day".Cheers. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted March 9, 2014 Laszlo, I understand Bela's point, but like the image as it is also. The main judgment on the image is yours, of course. Is this a true B&W conversion or a color image with the saturation pulled all the way out? It appears a little bit greenish to me. When you make B&W conversions, do you strive to include all of the gray zones? Larry Link to comment
lbaranyai1 0 Posted March 10, 2014 Hi Larry,This is how I convert colour images to B&W; in Lightroom, I set up the image with correct range of tones, than click B&W,followed by the adjustments in the Black & White Mix window, where I spend considerable time to adjust tonality by colours. When I am happy with the image, I export the picture to Color Efex Pro 3, where there is a feature called Paper Toner. This is where I get the greenish blueish tone, adjusted by saturation.Thank you for your interest Larry, I know Bela is right, but I would never care about "technical perfection". In my ignorant mind an image is a personal interpretation of its subject. This is what makes photography fun!Cheers: Laszlo Link to comment
