Here, in the Southern Hemisphere, we are enjoying a warm summer, sea,

beach, birds and beautiful sunsets.

Any comments will be appreciated!

Great timing to capture the setting sun, the movement of the wave and the passing bird, it really presents a most tangible mood!

Compliments!

You are killing me with these warm looking beach scenes.  We're a few months away from such pleasures.  With this one you've managed to capture the beauty of a sunset with the power of the ocean.  Very nicely composed as well.  I'm assuming the bird (a pelican?) was a happy accident.  Well, luck is good!  If not, your timing is superb.  Not too obvious in the small version but pretty clear in the larger version is the row of flying birds under the sun to the right.  Now I just know THAT was not planned.  Or was it?  :-)   Best, LM.

Ruud, thank you very much for commenting this picture.

Hi Len, You are right, it is a pelican, and the picture was not planned, as you said, it was a happy accident.  Actually it is common to see birds in flight, but often very far. This year we have not had many birds, some seasons are thousands, of many species.   Thank you very much for your critique and kind comments.

Regards,

Rosario.

This is a marvelous composition, with many gorgeous details, Len alert me to the row of birds that is a welcome addition. The contrast between the ocean and the Sun is beautiful. It reminds me of my childhood memories of Varadero in Matanzas Cuba where I spend my early years. Warm regards my friend. 7

Hello Jorge.  I am glad this picture brings back memories of your childhood.  So you lived in Cuba, maybe you were born there?  Beautiful beaches, very nice people, but not a good place to live now. Thank you very much my  friend for your compliment, I appreciate your generous critique.

Kind Regards,

Rosario.

It is hard for me to believe you are so far away, but as the images show, you certainly get wonderful sunsets. The surf looks quite high. I really like how the bird is silhouetted against the pinkish colours of the sunset.

We're really far away, Gail, but the wonder of the internet, and a hobby  in common , (photography), makes us a little closer. Thank you very much for your time and interesting review.

Kind Regards,

Rosario.

Like Tony, I was looking through your work and this shot stopped me.  It's the embodiment of serene and you had a friend with the Pelican as an added element.  Excellent... Mike
