"Alone in a crowd" -please few LARGE

I absolutely love this camera! The "mood" of the images shot at 2.8 is

so unique; great DOF and just right on vigneting.

IMO you need to pay more attention to your composition:  the birds are cut off at the top and bottom.  You may have a better composition with just the two birds standing a bit further out and four birds swimming in the background (and I just saw the bird in flight above this small group).

Thank you, Stephen. However, the lock of order/staging/proper composition is exactly what I like about this shot. This way it puts more emphasis on the subject in focus- the duck couple, as "the useal life goes by".

I like this. The lack of pretense is refreshing.

 

O.k., if only the bird at the top didn't grab the eye so strongly, and if the birds at the bottom didn't do the same to a lesser extent. I don't think good composition expresses pretense.
