This is a striking documentary photograph.  Certainly the decision to place her left prosthetic leg on the right side really made the photo.  The flowery wallpaper, cushions on the couch, and patterned rug create an atmosphere that contrasts in a good way with the medical experiences this woman has had.  Very good work.

She does look peaceful in a resigned sort of way.  Good exposure and tonal range.  Nice cross lighting (from a window?) with a gentle contrast that adds roundness and dimension to the elements.  I believe the composition would be improved by cropping out the pattern near the bottom as is seems distracting and has a tendency to lead my eye down and away from your center of interest.  Good impact and fine job overall.

Jukka, there is no question in my mind that this image is technically superior. You have a great portfolio and you love photographing people. The subject matter of this particular capture however, leaves me at unease.

Tough reality that life is not that easy nor equal for everybody.This lady has let you into her intimacy and you have returned the favor with this choice image.Well done!
