I am uploading my preference for your image with adjustments made in photoshop.  Good  subject placement and use of space.  The diagonal of his left arm helps add a bit of energy to what is mostly a static pose.  The bright tones of his hat, jacket and ears left his face coming in last place for impact.  Your original shot would be perfect for a beret commercial as the beret is the center of interest.  I made some adjustments to your image for your consideration which makes his face the center of interest.
