abintraphoto 0 Posted September 2, 2003 Wow ! ................................... Oh, I'm not supposed to leave comments like that ......................... lol Ah screw it ..................... A wow is worth a 1000 words .............. What is enjoyable about this shot is obvious to you and me without going into great detail. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 2, 2003 Very intense, moody shot. Usually fog/smoke pictures tend to be washed out, but the rust colored foreground really makes this stand out. Good job! Link to comment
steven b epstein 0 Posted September 2, 2003 Great tone and and color throughout. I am drawn right down this eerie path, and there is a sense of apprehension. Congratulations on a nice shot. Link to comment
mauricio alcaraz carbia 0 Posted September 2, 2003 Beautiful composition! Good use of the vertical format and that soft, incredible, light. Very well done! Link to comment
fred_j._lord 0 Posted September 2, 2003 Everything is lovely and dreamy here. Mysterious and mystical (no pun intended). What, other than red earth, lends the color and texture to the road? Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted September 2, 2003 Many thanks for the kind responses. I felt good about this one the moment it was taken. It has been beautifully foggy nearly every morning this summer but I haven't really had as much time behind the lens as I would like so glad I got at least one good one. The red on the ground is fallen leaves. Link to comment
margaret_s. 0 Posted September 2, 2003 Wonderful colors and softness to this photo. Really beautiful. Link to comment

bentes_world 0 Posted September 2, 2003 Been up early in the morning again, Regina? It pays. I often need words so I'm allowed to say: WOW ;-). Link to comment
tom_wilczynski 0 Posted September 3, 2003 I love the layers in the fog and the color of the read (natural?) I think it may have benifited from something clearly sharp in the foreground, maybe a tree off to one side or something) but that's just beeing picky.. Super shot! Link to comment
roberta_bagnacani 0 Posted September 3, 2003 Calm, stillness....peace of mind! Great! Link to comment
shamir_patel 0 Posted September 3, 2003 Stillness, Atmospheric, Enchanting. Lovely photo. Link to comment
michael_ward1 0 Posted September 3, 2003 The mist was just perfect, and the sharpness of the tree in the foreground really enhances the softness of the trees in the mist. Good eye to see this one, and to catch it just right. Link to comment

Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 13, 2003 One of your very best, Regina, and one that grows on one the longer one looks at it. I shall have to rethink my dictum that piney woods do not provide fertile ground for photography. Link to comment
jeremy_smith2 0 Posted September 24, 2003 reminds me of the Redwood forests of California... beautiful shot Link to comment

robin_holmes 0 Posted October 6, 2003 This photograph touches me so deeply...it's like a...self-portrait - seemingly simple yet complex with many hidden treasures for those who look further. I'm transported. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted October 7, 2003 One of the things I like about this one is that it was a very spontaneous shot. My husband and I have habit of taking early morning drives along old roads. This was a "lets take this old dirt road" morning. This scene was just a side of the road find. I just hopped out of the pick up... took a couple of quick shots... and we continued on. I encourage everyone, shoot everything that even slighly interests you. There are treasures in simple things. One of the reasons I started with photography is that I felt it would be that would force me to see what the world has to offer. You just have to get out there and look. After a while you don't just look... you SEE. Robin's comments above are touching. There truly is a lot to see in even the simplest subject. Sometimes we can even find ourselves. Link to comment
leighperry 0 Posted February 1, 2004 Lovely colour palette - subdued, moody and rich at the same time. The bright fog balances the frame beautifully. Link to comment
