Howard, it is always a thrill to get a bird in flight.  This is a very nice image that is tack sharp and the right wing is just beautiful in that position.  The tree limb does not bother me.  BTW, I live in the Austin area and looking for good birding locations in Hill Country.

I agree with Mike, leaving the branch because of the position of the feet. Either way would be fine, but leaving it in the frame just seems the more natural thing to do!
