I caught this baby "Northern White-crowned Shrike" with a sad face

as it stared at the setting sun on a cold evening in the savannah...

Made me gloomy as well.

Jayan,

Some very nice "magic hour" light and yet adequate enough to show some wonderful distinct details about the bird and his perch!

All that combined with your presentation and that wonderful dark sky background really provokes a "silent late evening" mood for me!

Cheers,

Jim j.

Thank you Ajay and James...

Just one doubt: How important is the presentation - The Title, Description etc ?

I think the presentation and image title is more of a personal thing.

I'm certain that you've noticed many photographers here prefer some sort of framing or border and about equal numbers do not! Same goes for the image title. I see many that either have "untitled" or simply the images file name displayed.

For me, I like both ways (framed or not) dependent upon the image. I do think it more suitable for images that one only intends to display for view on the internet/web. Sometimes and, I'm guilty of "over-doing" the framing!

I do however, place an image title to almost all of my images.

I also at times think the framing may influence the ratings received if so submitted and, usually I feel that the framing can and does lower the overall rating of an image in many instances.

So, again, . . . I think it more of a personal preference and I'm certain others have different views. I don't think there is a right or wrong!

Regards,

Jim j.

Dear Jayan,

Different strokes for different folks! In continuation with what James said, personally I never liked 'framing' my images. Incidentally I got a suggestion for one of my last uploads that it might look better with a border. I tried it and indeed it did look better! So I might consider giving a border to pictures in future if the situation demands it. Well, I do enjoy nice funny titles. A bit of background information helps in connecting the viewer with the photographer, I guess. Of course these are, as James rightly said, matters of personal choice - one may or may not. I have done both!

Best wishes.

Ajay.
