truly poor (relatively young) man who has not get along in life, doing

some small jobs in the village for some bread and schnapps. He

squandered once a big estate and only what left is pitiable house. He

is standing in the backroom that has almost collapsed

Robert, it seems the man wants to leave via the roof. However the window does show there's a normal way, with a door, in getting out. So the latter, the window you can forget/delete. For the yellow is also biting the overall blue. Cover the window with two fingers. Now it's clear the man is in a kind of cellar and the light from above is telling me that the way out is overthere.

However, stretching the arms doesn't make sence, it's simply too high. He clearly also isn't desperate, for behind him are materials in constructing a way out, so his seeming being hopeless is fake. The stretched arms aren't needed. ( + the posture of his legs aren't according his upper bodypart.)

See?. The photo isn't going about desperation, neither in wanting to leave the place. And what about his clothing. In the Ukraine he would look like a modest millionaire. If you want to keep this setting, let him look in the camera with one arm half stretged, more a kind of journalistic approach. And you climbing on the roof? Yes, I tried to help, myself not believing in playing emotions if any aren't there.

Best wishes, Olaf.

Starting with a wrong attitude I started the comment. The photo didn't get any comment while there was asked for, completely natural in the 'critique section.' So 'every' body seemed hesitating or not daring to do the job. No crititique is nearly as 'deadly' as mine. Well, I decided to be ferm and honest and to take the job..! Haha, and next your story about this suffering friend. On forehand: the PHOTO should TELL the 'story', not we. Yes, áfterwards is OK. So, I commented as not (!) having read about the problems & despair.. Yes, and that was too rough..! And Robert, I'm sorry for that..!

Seeing this photo I was a moment thinking of Daniël in the pit with the lions. But Daniël was not in despair. If standing like your friend, Daniël would have praised the Lord. Now I see your friend has closed his eyes, so he may pray. But any sign of despair?! Yes, you can give the answer by just watching like not knowing your friend and his situation at all. Just try to be objective.

And the yellow? Isn't really a big problem at all. :)

Yes, get a coffee and enjoy. Warm regards..! Olaf.
