It's a good sunset photo, and I think it would be even better if you had included a bit of ground.  I usually like to see where the tree connects with the earth -- it seems to make the photo and context more complete.

I do have a shot with the whole tree and the sun in the background :-) Will post it soon.

I felt this looked like an umbrella for the sun, just to keep it dry... ha ha.
