GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted January 25, 2014 Beautiful detail, colour and light achieved in this macro Shu-Shin. Just curious, how tiny would this Planthopper be. Usually they are very tiny as I am imagining this one must be!!!sincere regards, GAil Link to comment
msdljack 0 Posted January 25, 2014 Thanks Gail. This kind is about 4mm long. To me, this species of issid planthopper looks more like a giant moth fly due to its unfolded flat wings. Link to comment
Rick Bortnick 2,167 Posted January 25, 2014 Shu-Shin,Excellent image. Nice crisp detail in the wings & eyes. Composition on a strong diagonal adds to a flow of the eye. Despite limited palette, image conveys strong colors. Exposure bang on. Thanks for this one.Rick Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted March 8, 2014 Thank you Shu-Shinn for letting me know how small this Planthopper was. I tried photographing one last summer and it was soooo tiny. It was more of the colour of grey to brown bark. You achieved excellent detail in this shot. Link to comment
