bernardfancher 0 Posted January 11, 2014 The image has a somewhat foreboding, almost ominous feel about it, which I quite like. It also has almost the look of a nicely rendered watercolor... again, which I quite like. It might seem counter-intuitive, but I think that the slightly diffuse watercolor effect would only be enhanced were you to take roughly half of the watery part off the bottom, inasmuch as the closest leaves and stems of the water lilies are quite a bit more distinct than anything else. Of course doing so would eliminate most if not all of the wonderful reflections in the water beneath the trees, but it would also change the aspect ratio and give the appearance of widening the field of view, which in a landscape photo (to my mind) seldom detracts and more often than not complements the picture. But of course, this is a very personal consideration and perhaps not at all to your liking. In any event, I would think almost anyone would be happy to have this photo framed and displayed prominently on a wall. Congratulations on producing a very evocative work.
