Perhaps I should have put this photo in the cars and vehicles

category, inasmuch as it was taken at an auto show, but the subject

does seem to also qualify as an abstract. I hope you agree.

I think the abstract quality you mention is created by the hints of color.  If I ignored the obvious identifiable features of a motorcycle, I might be tempted that you were channeling H.R. Geiger.

PS  I never thanked you for your thoughtful comments on my 2 everglades shots - now's the time!  I'm still thinking about your cropping suggestions, and I have to give it a try.  

Michael, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I am flattered by the comparison. (Yes, I was attracted by the coloration in the metal. And if I had it to do again, I would be tempted to perhaps try to focus more on that.) Also, your images have stayed with me. They must have struck a chord that is still reverberating deep in the convoluted recesses of my mind.
