Cal,  I like the stormy portent in this image along with a calm look in the water.  Looks like the calm won't last too long.  I don't think that pipe or post at the end of the pier at the right adds anything to the image.  It's not a problem because it's off the the side.  You could duplicate the image and then remove the object just to see how the image looks without it.  I tried it out for you.  Be the judge yourself.  Best to you.  Larry
