louis1 0 Posted August 26, 2003 Eye catching . An image to visit more than once. Even if all B/w it would work well Link to comment
andrea_cannata 0 Posted August 27, 2003 Great capture. Too blue the eye for my taste. Love all your pictures. ///A Link to comment
panzerwolf 0 Posted August 27, 2003 ack! -_Othe concept of the non-desaturated eyes is not new, but this is one of the best examples i recall... Link to comment
robert goldstein 0 Posted August 28, 2003 ...except for the blue eye, which overwhelms the rest of the image. This may have been the effect that you wanted, but I feel that it actually detracts from an otherwise fantastic photo. Link to comment
lucas m 0 Posted August 29, 2003 I'm gonna have to disagree with the above comment... i think the eye looks great and is well suited for the photo. My brain tells me that the eye should be in the center of the photo... i think it might be easier on my eye.. not to sure though... i really like this one...!!! Link to comment
almagnus 0 Posted August 29, 2003 A very good use of color with BW. I love this picture. Link to comment
bgelfand 1,259 Posted September 1, 2003 I think this would be much better as a black and white image without the color in the eye. Leaving a small part of a picture in color has become trite with digital manipulation. Link to comment
ashomsky 0 Posted October 18, 2003 Most people take mediocre images of their children and end up with something thats special to them but uninteresting to others. This, however, is an excellent portrait. That daughter of yours is quite photogenic. Link to comment
hugh_hill 0 Posted November 19, 2003 Great shot Nina, I like it as it is but it would also work in B+W & full Colour too! Link to comment
mgvaughan.com 0 Posted February 17, 2004 The blue eye needs a bit of desaturation. I visited the photo because of the expression and composition. The eye is already the center of attention without being colored. It's a nice shot. Link to comment

jose_hagan 0 Posted February 28, 2004 Beautiful! A great angle and wonderful use of the saturated/desaturated concept. Link to comment
blaise_fiedler 0 Posted March 17, 2004 Fantastic picture and DOF. I'm also not keen on the blue only eye / all B&W would have been better. Thanks for posting! Came here through your fantastic POW! Link to comment
chris_kuettner 0 Posted April 26, 2004 Reminds me of my daughter! I think I would have left everything B&W.. Very well done!! Link to comment
d2f 0 Posted October 13, 2004 I was looking over your portfolio and this and another image of your daughter caught my attention. It is the natural expression, that moment of magical connection between you and your daughter that is captured that separates your work from everybody else, in short it is the loving impression from one heart to another.
