trisha jean-angela 5 Posted November 12, 2013 This is beautiful and romantic! I think sometimes men are not really seen as romantic or perhaps just have difficulty tapping in to that side of themselves, but I know they exist and this is wonderful proof of that fact! I hope the recipient of this gift will frame it and hang it on the wall where it can be viewed first thing upon awakening in the morning. I have a large painting of a horse running on the beach facing me when I wake up. It is my dream to ride horses on the beach and my mom made me promise her before she died that I would live my dreams. I think the painting is a wonderful affirmation and inspiration for me to live my dreams and hold true to my promise. I love looking at that painting every morning when I wake; it is a wonderful reminder of how precious both life and love are. This lovely work is very artistic and romantic; I really hope the recipient will hang it where it can have the same message of love. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted November 12, 2013 I love the understated colours against the stark simplicity of the white background, it reminds me of the"pressed flowers" that my sisters used to put in books.Sincere Compliments! Alf Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 13, 2013 Lovely and slightly different from your usual rather vigorous approach. This has tenderness and detail and reminds me in a way of the work of the artist Alphonse Mucha who did such beautiful illustrations at the beginning of the 20th Century. Link to comment
tamaramar 0 Posted November 13, 2013 Great to see that soft romantic side of you! Beautiful picture! I love to work with fading flowers - I am connected with them more , they have more character... Perfect composition! Warmest regards, Tamara Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 285 Posted November 13, 2013 Trisha, don't forget that men have invented the romanticism! Tender hearts under the suits of armor! The recipient, as a matter f fact offered me to take pictures of thee wonderful faded flowers pressed in some books! So, I'm the recipient of a wonderful occasion to express myself and thankfully I dedicated this beauty to my love!Thank you for your visit and romantic and artistic story as a comment! Pierre Dumas 285 Posted November 13, 2013 Yes, Alf, they are pressed flowers from a book! I have one on black background, as a matter of fact I pictured them on a black T-shirt and then selected the background, inverted the selection, cleaned it thoroughly and put on a new file with white color!Thank you for your visit and comment! Pierre Dumas 285 Posted November 13, 2013 Jack, after I finish with the replies I'm Googling Mucha to see his works! Thank you for your information and for your comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 285 Posted November 13, 2013 Tamara, you must be right about the character of the faded flowers, they last longer, much longer and therefore they are more steady than fresh flowers!Thank you for your visit and nice comment! PDE Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 285 Posted November 13, 2013 Well, as good vegetarians we are going to have our breakfast of dried flowers now my dear brothers friends! Want fried with virgin oil or maybe spiced with curcuma, or curry?! No coffee, sorry! Coffee is bad for your health! PDE Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted November 13, 2013 Your delicate treatment of this image speaks in a clear, strong voice to the person who has earned your love. Its sensitive use of somewhat desaturated colors is better than any verbal homage could. My best always, michael Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 285 Posted November 13, 2013 Thank you, Michael! You really have a talent for critique! PDE Link to comment

jorge_fernandez3 1 Posted November 14, 2013 You have hit a homerun with this little beauty my friend. The image is original and exotic, however the big splash comes from the fantastic comments you have attracted. I love reading every single one of them. Take good care my friend. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 285 Posted November 14, 2013 Welcome and thank you Jorge, I was waiting for you! Half of the comments are mine, I don't think they are worthy reading, I'm not good at poetry, ha! PDE Link to comment
John Peri 1,032 Posted November 16, 2013 Ha, how wrong you are my friend Pierre, this posting is the very essence of your poetic nature. The pressing of a beautiful memory and its photo shown years later is an expression in the most poetic form, no less the harmonious forms and colouring chosen to display. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 285 Posted November 16, 2013 Ah, John, so romantic, so beautiful is your comment and a right one, everything you said is truth! Thank you, my friend PDE Link to comment
