Magnificent Iguana taken in specialist zoo. I was in awe of the textures

and could not resist attributing a human personality to him.

Pauline,

One really gets a treat when this is viewed larger!

Excellent details, especially in the eye, which is and should be the center of attention here. From there, one can take in all the exceptional details of the entire image! Now resides in my favorites too!

Regards always,

Jim j.

Wonderful. I've been looking at your portfolio and I must say you do exceptional portraits of animals. They feel like studio shots except that you add the "studio" portion digitally. The finished shot is seamless and the background invariably suits the animal perfectly. You do beautiful work and I will follow your portfolio with interest.

Excellent photograph, good use of that lens Pauline!! Magnificent creature and your genuine artistic talents in applying Textures and highlights has certainly worked well with this composition. He is a fine Specimen, certainly 'well Titled'.

kind regards, Gail

This is an excellent example that not all portraits must be of a human.  Though, there is an almost human element to it.  You can almost feel the texture of the skin.  The lighting is perfect: it dignifies this creature.   He would make an excellent Godzilla.
