Hi Kallol,

An interesting image with different insects present.

However, pushing the sharpness of this image in post processing is not going to yield any more detail as this lens is limited in what it offers by design , even at F/5.6. The close up kit does not work well with any Nikkor lens,  even though it provides a closer focusing range, the image is still compromised. If your serious about quality macro images, then use a quality macro lens.

A true macro lens is what I recommend to best do image captures like this. So many times, manufacturers try to advertise their zoom lens an "all in one" solution to many imaging cases, but this fall short of what happens in reality. Then there are low cost "add ons" that just further take advantage of the customer that does not know the real facts about the combinations that result. I have tested every possible combination of lens and "add-ons" ever produced for ALL THE LENS MANUFACTURERS, AND THERE ARE NOT ANY EXCEPTIONS to what I say next here.

The best lens are fixed focal length, and when it comes to close up work, the best choice is a true macro lens that is fixed focal length. For Nikon, this starts with the micro Nikkor 40 mm F/2.8 , 60 mm F/2.8  or the 105 mm F/2.8. There are several third party macro lens , like the Sigma 150 F/2.8 and the Tamron 90 mm F/2.8.

Best Regards my friend, Mike

I like the subject and the composition... There is a weird blue halo, not sure if it is from post processing....
