Barnyard Wedding

Trying to photograph wedding parties and also tell a story about the

location of the wedding is always a goal, sometimes it can be done very

simply, like this shot.

I think you did an admirable job here. Realistic colors, gives us a sense of the party and the place. Obviously you had to work with what you had, but I'd prefer it as a photo without the two lines of flags in the foreground. I keep picturing the starkness of the barn on the landscape and whimsy of the formally-dressed people and somehow the flags keep getting in the way of something a little more special. But, all that said, I think you nailed it and hope the wedding party is happy with the result. One small nitpick is that it all feels like it is leaning slightly down to the right and a precise balance would seem more in order to what you're accomplishing here.

I agree with Marc regarding the flags. I would prefer them not to be there. Then again that's what you had to work with. It's a bit too tight at top, as well.

It does have a touch of whimsy being the wedding party are all formally dressed. I'll bet it's a welcome addition to the rest of the wedding photos
