morophaenixmau 22 Posted October 3, 2013 A perfect and unusual landscape, like from another world, a world without man, but full of "spirit"! Link to comment

luda_luda 0 Posted October 4, 2013 Hi Alf, I love the angle of this picture, one is taken from the left hand side all the way down to the right, and nothing scape from the viewer. it's just marvelous, I love the reflections and colors. This is just an outstanding picture!!!!Warmest regards,LuDa Link to comment

sherrybell 0 Posted October 5, 2013 Love the open expanse of this scene, the soft lines pull the eye into the scene and the soft colors being a sence calm as the eye look across the image. Love your compostion and reflection of sky as it intertwines the color in the sand and water. Wonderfully beautiful. Best Regards, Sherry Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted October 5, 2013 Many Thanks for your interest and thoughtful feedback, it's always good to dream! : - ) Best Regards Alf MAURIZIO The huge expanse of beach was indeed without a sign of man at 5.25 am and with the colours from the sky it could be mistaken for an alien environment.Sincere Thanks & Best Regards Alf SARAH It never fails to surprise me how such simple ingredients like sand, water and light can produce such vivid and diverse images. Many Thanks! Alf LUISA Many Thanks for your thoughts and kind words! The angle was a bit of a challenge, I didn't want to take it facing the sea straight on, so I experimented by moving the camera angle whilst looking through the viewfinder. Warm Regards Alf WANGHAN I'm glad you think the image reflected my mood, perhaps it does, I was very excited when I saw that sky! Thank you and Best Regards Alf JAMIE I never came across that particular formula in algebra, but I do think its a very accurate one! BR Alf SHERRY Even the wide angle lens doesn't really do justice to the vast beach, it was huge and without a trace of a person ........well for the first 30 minutes until a man walking his dog turned up, but such was the size of the place it didn't really seem to matter.Sincere Thanks for your positive feedback Sherry. thadley 15 Posted October 6, 2013 "Hi Alf, Well, sun of a beach." - I was quite amused by the title so I stole some words from Larry G. It is really a lovely image and there is not much to offer when you are late to the party. At first viewing (sounds morbid) I thought the bottom left was a bit too dark but when I viewed it larger, it seemed about right. All the best and thanks for your recent comment! Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted October 6, 2013 Glad you appreciated the title as well as the image : - ) In hindsight I suppose I could have brought more detail from the bottom left corner, but I'm always mindful about making images look kind of washed out and bleached looking. Many thanks for your interest and thoughtful feedback Tony! Best Regards Alf JAMIE Such wonderful enlightenment ..............and there was me thinking only ducks "quark" : - ) BR Alf Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted October 10, 2013 Yum!!! Although I hate the stuff and shouldn't compare this image to it, this looks like marshmallow cream.....fluffy and pillowy. Beautiful pastels, and a good location of the horizon. Glad you got your 'vacation sunrise'. But aren't you supposed to sleep in on vacation? ;-) Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted October 10, 2013 Enough time for sleeping when I pay my 2 pennies to the ferryman : - ) I could quite happily live life nocturnally, my body clock just doesn't seem to be in sync with the rest of the world. And of course sunrise and sunset are the very best times for photography. This marshmallow cream could prove to be a bit gritty with the sand that is present. : -) Many Thanks for your thoughts and observations Christal, always great to hear from you! toddsmith 0 Posted December 6, 2013 Very inspiring! Thanks. I love the textured layers in the sand, also the sky's color and reflections in the water. Todd. Keep Shooting Please, love your work. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted December 6, 2013 Sincere Thanks for visiting my images, and I appreciate your positive feedback! This was a special morning and I had the beach to myself for the first hour. I wish I was back there now! Best Regards Alf Link to comment
swede621 0 Posted March 17, 2014 Beautiful as always and cute title as well. Just an additional comment to what Larry referred to regarding the three levels of lines. Upon looking at them I realized that even though they are on different planes, they all lead the eye to the same point (upper right-center) Another outstanding image.Cheers... Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted March 17, 2014 Yes I see what you mean, good observation! Oh how I yearn so much to be back there now with all that wide open space and peace! Many Thanks for your thoughtful feedback and kind words! Alf Link to comment
