Please rate and comment on this photo of Jocelyn.  I just purchased a new camera, (Nikon D3200) and lens (Nikkor AF-S 50mm 1.8G).  We spent about an hour or so at a lake near us taking different shots.

I am trying to improve on my photographic skills, and the only way I can get better, (besides watching 1,000's of YouTube videos) is by hearing your input.  I want to hear the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Thank you in advance,

-Todd

I am uploading an adjustment of your image for your consideration.  The sunlight is nice on her hair but the light on her face is reflected light off the greenery surrounding her.  I did a feathered selection around her and used levels and curves to adjust the color.  I use the hue/sat to reduce the effects of blue and magenta.  Fill flash would have helped avoid the color-cast and lightened her face.  I hope this helps.  Good luck.

You need to use some fill in flash or a white reflector Todd to bounce some light into her face and put some catch lights into those dead eyes.
