It does, doesn't it, Herman?  I can't quite figure out why.  Everything is still lush green.  The leaves have not turned at all, even here in the foothills below the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Yet, yet, everything about that shoot in that small town (a shoot that lasted only about seventy-five minutes at most) had the definite feel of late summer.  Perhaps the drier air (the first in a while) gave me that sense, but the photo does not capture that.
