bob fowler 8 Posted August 19, 2003 The subject seems a bit dark to me, yet that sky area is quite bright. Did you use (or consider using) a reflector to open up the shadows a bit? Link to comment
slonaker 0 Posted August 24, 2003 Bob, are we looking at the same photo? Is your monitor calibrated? Yeah, the background is a bit overdone, but the subject is lit beautifully. Very glamorous photo. She could sell a LOT of sunglasses! Link to comment
benjamin.portraiture 0 Posted February 16, 2004 ...where your daughter gets those captivating eyes. I don't have a problem with the lighting at all. Any lighter and the highlights in the underside of the hood will be blown out. Nice, even lighting in the skin tones. Nicely cropped. You might consider cropping so that the blown out sky is eliminated which would also take your face out of dead center and move it to the left a bit or just fill the frame with nothing but face. roy1 0 Posted February 17, 2004 First of all congrats on POW, a very good choice on behalf of the elves I must say.I did not read the comments before I edited the image, please ignore this post if you find it rude for me to have edited it ( it's a habit I need to kick). I also saw a great photo with a subject being a little too dark... Photoshopped edition has a little bit of a "fill flash" affect to it... Your portfolio leaves many of us with something to aspire to. --Roy www.nyvisual.com Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 18, 2004 This is another one of those shots where I spend a great deal of time looking at it and thinking wow... what a nice shot... and then I realize at some point in reading the comments and I figure out that it's a self portrait. Ok... forget that you're a geat photographer and get out from behind that camera more often! LOL! You're gorgeous! Link to comment
nina1 0 Posted February 19, 2004 LOL - When I posted this I didn't even want you to know it was me! I agree about the lightening of the skin btw. Thank you all for making this such a nice place to stay! :) Nina Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 20, 2004 I like the lighting of the face this photograph is giving the expression of almost spy type that you need to put your sunglasses to see really well your target I like the colors of the skin that blends in with the hair on the coat you should try to use a black coat with this, but with the same type of hair on the hood of the coat with the same tone of your skin. This so far is still a good photograph I love it Link to comment
