What's wrong with this photo ?

I should have write that this large, very heavy ball of solid rock

could be put into motion by one hand.

That is what I tried to show.

The two things I feel could be improved are that the subject and background appear to be equally sharp and exposed, and there's not much of a sense of movement or scale.

Maybe adding a hand in the foreground, doing the "pushing", more selective focus, and maybe even added emphasis on the subject via flash-fill might help your goal.
