Many Thanks for your interest and thoughtful feedback!

I know what you mean about being burned and parched, we have had a dry summer too (for the UK) and consequently lawns have gone patchy and dry. But up here in the mountain region of Wales the moss and lichen form a sponge like layer that never seems to dry out.  If I was to try and walk to the left or right of the path through the grasses I would be soaked to at least knee height before very long.

Cheers Tibi!

A little voice in the crowd...:-). I am not going to describe your photo, my friend. I am just going to say that is simply excellent! Sincere congratulations once more!

A very lovely photo, Alf..!

Great flowing composition, and wonderful light and colors.

I bet that you must have felt good right after putting this one in your box :-)

( PS: Looks so beautiful there - you're lucky to have so much photogenic scenery around you. Love to visit it! Kind regards to you, M)

Apologies for my late response, I have been away for a few days holiday.

I have taken a lot of photographs of this area and surprisingly few of them tend to work. The abundance of slate makes separation of houses and key features a difficult task, but on this occasion  I was fortunate with the light and the composition.  So, yes it was good to get one that I actually liked : - )

It's definitely a place to visit if you ever cross the sea to this fair island : - )

Sincere Thanks for your thoughts and kind words

Best Regards

Its a place to put on your list for a visit.

Can't say I find the need for "Apostrophe's" when I'm taking photographs where do they go anyway.......in-between the battery and the memory card?

Alf,

I'm not sure I can add anything that has not been already said about this beautiful landscape, however I was fascinated by the use of the upright slabs along the path, my attention was immediately drawn to this unique fencing and from there on into the image.  A photographer good not ask for a better leading line.

The slate uprights are indeed fascinating, and the whole place is magical. The abandoned slate miners village really is a wonderful place to visit, a mixture of natural beauty and ravaged earth, the evidence of which is slowly returning to nature.

Good to hear from you Jim, and sincere thanks for your thoughts and kind words!

Best Regards
