I am so glad you told us when this was taken. What a celebration it was, and how freeing to just walk along the ocean after the ceremony. I really like this composition Trisha Jean. You should frame this one, or even better, it would be a great present for those in the capture. These are the memories we love to revisit, time and time again.

Lovely! ;-) Gail

Thank you so much for your kind comment! I am planning on putting these all on a disc for my son and his lovely new bride. It was a small wedding with just family and a few special close friends. The wedding itself was on a cliff overlooking the ocean and it was a perfect day! This site was at the private beach home of a friend; can you imagine having your own private beach (shared with the few other homeowners)? It was so lovely and one of the happiest days of my life! Thank you again for your visit and sharing your thoughts with me; I'm happy you like it! Always good to hear from you! :)

Trisha, this one is so nicely done. I love the atmosphere in it. To me looks like a few people  wondering around after they just landed on some new planet :). Excellent!

Thank you so much for your visit and kind comments! I had to chuckle at your thoughts because I am sure we did look a little out of place walking around on the beach in atypical beach attire! This was taken on my son's wedding day at the beach house where the party followed. The actual ceremony took place a few miles down the road on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The only ones who had a change of clothes at the house were my son and his new bride. I was actually walking around on the beach in a blue lace dress! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with me! I am happy you like this photo! Always good to hear from you! :)

i keep returning to this, Trish; tones and reflections, silhouette in the sun, but enough visual on the people to keep it real (body language, plus); dof is superb; it's dramatic... i just keep wondering what the hell is going on? what will happen next (tension)... this is brilliant in subtle ways; in my faves ;-} dp

Thank you so much for your most generous compliments! I am flattered that you find it worthy of your faves! :)  You wonder what is going on and what will happen next? I can tell you but not sure it will live up to your imagination! Lots of laughter is what is happening and very deep discussion (organic chemistry and physics) followed by a hysterically funny conversation about the idea of shooting a photographic series of floating Walmart water shoes (Don't ask)! The sand in the picture is very deceptive and when the water washes over your feet you can sink in about 8 inches or more! It provided for lots of laughter; my cheeks were actually sore! It was a great day and I am happy this photo stirs your imagination and has brought you back for another look! Thank you for stopping by and for taking the time to let me know you like this one! Very kind of you! Good to hear from you! :)

If i did not congratulation on your son's wedding before, I am doing it now and I apologize. These beach images make quite an impression on me. many years ago i had a boss who taught me a little about body language but I did not get a full lesson.  It makes me ponder about their thoughts. The two men have their heads bowed while the ladies head are not bending. I am not qualified to interpret and perhaps it is  simply because people are tired and wish to relax in different ways.

In any event, a very strong image.

thanks for telling me all about the wedding Trisha! It must have been just a day out of what seemed to be a dream. I am glad it was a perfect day, one that you will think of often. So glad also that your son found just the right person to share life with. We all are not so fortunate.

warm regards, Gail

Thank you for letting me know that! I am never sure if anyone cares about what is behind the scenes or not; maybe they would rather make up their own stories (and that's fine) and would prefer me not to include any dialogue so I am happy to know you like what I have shared about this photo. I am really a very private person and don't share a whole lot online, nor do I usually share photos of friends/family. Always good to hear from you Gail! :)

This is a lovely photograph, the fact that it is people you know doesn't detract from it in the slightest.

Whilst respecting your privacy I also find it interesting to hear about the background relating to any image.

I like the broken reflections and the angles and positions of the people, there is a sense of the foreground person watching but reluctant to join in, whilst the girl is encouraging him to "lets get out there"

My interpretation is probably a million miles off the mark, but its such a delightful and compelling scene to speculate about.

Sincere Compliments & Warm Regards

Alf

ALF - Thank you so much for your visit and kind words. It is interesting to see how you read this image and it is funny that you pick up on a sort of communication between the young man in the foreground and the young woman looking in his direction; the young man is a dear friend to my son and the young woman looking in his direction is his wife. The other young woman heading to the water is my daughter and the young man in the back is her ex and the father of my grandson. Thank you again for your compliments and sharing your thoughts with me! Always good to hear from you Alf! :)

DAN - Hey, don't I know you from somewhere? ;) Thanks for your visit and comments! I am still happy you like this one! Always good to hear from you! :)
